Bakkung… Bak Kung. The pronunciation is actually “Behg-goong” in Korean. The name means “White Palace.”

Opened in January 2012, replacing the “Chamsutgol” (Cham sut gol) restaurant in the same space.

Korean restaurant that’s an offshoot of the original Ham Ji Park restaurant on Pico. What to get: pork galbi, samgyeopsal, gobchang… Menu includes pork neck soup and gamjatang. Movie location: Blackhat (2015) film Monday to Saturday, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM… Occasionally opens on Sundays, 5:00-10:00 PM. Call before going.
