Hamjipark is a Korean restaurant southwest of Koreatown current borders that’s famous for owner Kim Hwa-shin’s Dweji-galbi (barbeque pork ribs).

HJM menu also includes Jumulleok (sauteed garlic prime rib), Kimchi Jjigae (kimchee stew), and Doenjang Jjigae (soybean stew).

Korean-speaking only.

Closed on Sundays. Open 11 am to 9 pm, Monday to Saturday.

Its offshoot “Hamjibak – Daughter” is located on 6th Street.

A “hamjibak” is a large wooden plate on which shared meals are mixed. Peasants would carry this plate to the fields so that all the workers could eat together.
