THE NAME

“Kkokko Daek Kkokko” (꼬꼬댁꼬꼬) is a playful Korean onomatopoeia that imitates the sound of a rooster crowing. It’s a chanted, rhythmic way to represent the crowing “cock-a-doodle-doo” you might hear from a rooster in a farm setting. People use it to convey a lively, cheerful, or rustic mood, and it’s sometimes used in children’s songs, cartoons, or playful dialogue to evoke the morning rooster wake-up call.
