In 2010, the Los Angeles City Council formally outlined Koreatown’s borders as Western Avenue, Olympic Boulevard, Vermont Avenue and Third Street, with a business corridor on Western Avenue extending from Third Street to Melrose Avenue.

In 2021, the Los Angeles City Council’s fifteen districts underwent a once-a-decade redistricting process. The resulting map was adopted by the City Council in December 2021 and took effect January 1st, 2022.

Most of Koreatown is now in COUNCIL DISTRICT 10.

The 13th District is one of the most diverse in the City of Los Angeles, and includes the neighborhoods of Atwater Village, East Hollywood, Echo Park, Elysian Valley, Glassell Park, Historic Filipinotown, Hollywood, Larchmont Village, Little Armenia, Melrose Hill, Rampart Village, Ridgewood-Wilton, Silver Lake, Spaulding Square, St. Andrews Square, Sunset Square, Thai Town, Verdugo Village, Virgil Village, Western-Wilton, Westlake, Wilshire Center and Windsor Square.
