CaliPHOnia opened in 2019 at the Westminster Square strip mall.
In case it isn’t obvious, the restaurant’s name is a pun on the word “California.” It works especially in the Korean language because the “pho” (포) and the syllable “for” (포) are spelled exactly the same in hangeul.
It is colocated with an outpost of Boba Story.
