UPDATE: Due to the subway construction along Wilshire Boulevard, the mini complex in which Gaju Bunshik is located will be demolished. All four tenants, including Gaju, closed their doors for good in mid-October 2015. You can still avail of Gaju Kimbap inside the HK Market on 1st and Western for takeout.

The famous naengmyeon place inside California Market on 5th & Western set up its own shop in February 2011 after the supermarket closed for rebuilding.

You can find Caju Boonshik on Wilshire Boulevard, a block west of Western Avenue, in the same plaza as Village Bakery and Hite. They’ve taken over the space of the tea purveyor Cha Saeng Won, which moved east to 3000 Wilshire and then finally closed.

Gaju Bunshik is known for naengmyeon (cold noodles), kimbap (rolls), and bibimbap. Lunch isn’t served until 11:00 am. Hardboiled eggs are available earlier in the day.
