Lee Hwa Hanbok Dress Store
Prices start from $100 at Leehwa (pronounced Yee Hwah) for children-size hanbok and at $500 for an adult to be outfitted in traditional Korean costume. Most customers are brides looking to wear hanbok on their wedding day. But Asian-American teens also come here to dress themselves up for CosPlay (costume play).
You can have hanbok-inspired dresses customized with organic silk material. They also have traditional Korean hair jewelry and Korean comforters (yi-bool) that make perfect presents.
* For years, the store promoted their name in English as “Lee Wha” or “LeeWha” in keeping with the preference of a famous women’s university in Seoul — the store recently shifted to using “Lee Hwa” in their signage.
