Bakkung… Bak Kung. The pronunciation is actually “Behg-goong” in Korean. The name means “White Palace.”

Opened in January 2012, replacing the “Chamsutgol” (Cham sut gol) restaurant in the same space.

Specialty: charcoal barbecue

Still in business as of April 2026.

Bakkung actuallly opened a second location (on 3rd & Vermont) in Spring 2014… but then it closed after a few years.
