O’sigye
New restaurant on the third floor of the Madang Mall.
Osigye‘s specialty is samgyetang, traditional ginseng chicken soup, but with the poultry already deboned for easier eating.
The restaurant’s Sino-Korean name 午時 鷄 means “Lunch-time chicken.” It’s pronounced in English as Oh-shee-gyeh. Spelling variations: Oshige, Oshigye, O’Shigye
Also on the menu: fresh oyster flower salad
O’sigye is in the space of Aki Shabu, which closed just in March.
Soft-opening date: April 17 (Friday), 12 noon to 8:00 p.m.
