Vchos Truck

LA’s first gourmet Pupusa truck, the Vchos truck serves up traditional Central American, particularly Salvadoran, food with a twist. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. Pupusas are traditional items on the Salvadoran plate, and those of the Vchos are known for not being greasy.
The chef Wendy is a native of El Salvador, where she mastered the traditional cuisine of Central America. She traveled to Las Vegas in her 20s and began cooking in some of LV’s finest restaurants. She then came to Los Angeles to create LA’s first gourmet food truck inspired by Central America.
Vchos is actually spelled “bichos” and is a slang word used in Central America to refer to young people. The truck is owned and operated by a young couple — that’s Chef Wendy and her partner Donny, a Los Angeles native.
The truck had preveiously visited Koreatown in December 2011, on Wilshire Boulevard between Harvard and Kingsley.
