Yuriko Uematsu Etue was born in Tokyo. After honing her skills at various theaters in Tokyo, she moved to the United States and became a resident of Seattle, Washington. She then moved to Los Angeles in 2001. She has since worked for the City of Los Angeles creating over thirty-five murals and mosaics. She has already done an 8′ x 21′ for Charles H. Kim Elementary School.
